English and Spanish
Bill every client in their own language
ModusBill sends each client their invoice, the email it arrives in, the page they pay on and the reminders that follow, in English or in Spanish, whichever they read. Everyone at your firm works in the language they prefer. One system, two languages, for law firms and accounting practices with Spanish-speaking clients.

Everything the client sees follows them
Each client record has a language. Set it once and every piece of billing that reaches that client is written in it, no matter who at the firm raised the invoice or which language they work in.
The invoice email
The subject, the message and the link to view and pay, written in the client's language whoever at the firm sends it.
The invoice itself
The copy the client opens from the email and the one you print: its headings, labels and totals.
The payment page
The online invoice the client pays from, and the confirmation they see once the payment has gone through.
Payment reminders
The "due soon" and "past due" emails your firm schedules, with the due date written out the way the client reads it.
Your team's language
And everyone at the firm works in theirs
- Each person chooses. One switch at the top of the screen, remembered the next time they sign in. A partner working in Spanish and a billing assistant working in English use the same system side by side.
- The words of your trade. A law firm sees matters and attorneys, an accounting practice sees engagements and accountants, in both languages.
- Notices to staff, too. When recurring invoices are ready for review, each person is told in their own language.
Setting it up
Three settings, all optional
- A default for the firm. The language clients receive unless you say otherwise. A firm that works entirely in Spanish sets it once.
- A language per client. On the client's record, for anyone who reads the other language.
- A language per person. Each user picks their own, at any time.
Who it is for
Firms whose clients do not all read English
- Law firms serving Spanish-speaking individuals and families, where an invoice the client cannot read is an invoice that gets paid late, or questioned.
- Accounting and bookkeeping practices billing Spanish-speaking small-business owners every month.
- Firms that work in Spanish and want their billing system to as well. Clients who pay through PlaceToPay see its checkout in Spanish.
What it does not do
- Two languages, not more. English and Spanish.
- It translates its own words, not yours. The descriptions you write on time entries, flat fees and expenses appear on the invoice as written. Write them in the client's language.
- One currency per firm. Every invoice a firm sends is in the same currency.
- Amounts keep one format in both languages, $1,234.56, so a figure reads the same whichever version a partner and a client are looking at.
